Sultans Review: May Edition

Sultans Review: May Edition

With the month of May closing out lets look at where the Sultans stand in the division and some of their top performers. April was a pretty terrible month for our boys at 8-16, however a hot May puts us right back in the thick of things, is this just a bubble or can they sustain this winning? The stats say no, middle of the pack or worse in all the team statistics with many young players shouldering the load. After Nash Jr went down, young 1B Jose Garcia has really picked up the role of leading the team in hitting, with his .273 AVG and 9 HRs the best on the club. The pitching woes continue as we search and search for a young arm that can bring us success. As the draft proceeds hopefully a pitcher like “The Commish” can one day garner a 1 spot, till then the Sultans will continue to look over in Austin at what could have been, and try to mash our way to victories.

Asami Mit looks GREAT in his first season of Rookie Ball. I’ll continue to watch his progress as he’s one of my favorites CAP of all time — for obvious reasons. 🙂

He has some boom potential, just gotta let these young guys play out in the majors and build the farm back up
