CBL League Championship Series Goes the Distance, Austin Prevails
Monday, October 18th, 2032
The fans in Austin are delirious, while there is little joy to be found in Philadelphia.

The Austin Bats finished off the Philadelphia Liberty 5-1 in the deciding game of the CBL League Championship Series played at Dell Diamond.

They took the series 4-3 and will now head to the CBL Premier Cup Series.

For his standout play, Austin third baseman Alonzo Bennarivo was voted the series' Most Valuable Player.

He batted .379, drove in 6 runs and scored 6 to lead his club to victory.

"We could never really figure out how to pitch to Bennarivo and that doomed us," said Liberty manager Brent Mayne. "Hats off to Austin, though. That was a great series."

The Austin Bats will play against the Vancouver Canadians in the next round. Vancouver won their series against the San Diego Surf Dawgs 4 games to 3. The CBL Premier Cup Series schedule will be announced after the CBL League Championship Series finishes.

Vancouver Takes CBL League Championship Series in Deciding Game
Monday, October 18th, 2032
Depending on your loyalties, the CBL League Championship Series was either thrilling or heartbreaking.

The series went down to its final game, with the Vancouver Canadians and the San Diego Surf Dawgs giving their fans plenty of drama. In the end, the Canadians came out on top, winning 7-0 at Nat Bailey Stadium today to take the series 4-3.

"We're lucky to be going into the CBL Premier Cup Series," said Vancouver pitcher Lonnie Westrick. "If all the series are like this, it'll definitely be an entertaining postseason."

Westrick earned series MVP honors, hitting for a .357 average, with 3 home runs, 10 RBI and 4 runs scored.

The Vancouver Canadians don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Austin Bats - Philadelphia Liberty series. That series is tied at 3 games apiece. The CBL Premier Cup Series schedule will be announced after the CBL League Championship Series finishes.
