Millers Stay Hot, Beat Surf Dawgs, 6-3 | The winning streak continued for Minneapolis.
The Minneapolis Millers beat the San Diego Surf Dawgs, 6-3, at Paul Bunyan Stadium. Minneapolis second baseman Elijah Tatis had an outstanding performance. He went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs. Ed Fish, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 7th save.
The Millers got a big at-bat from left fielder Dominic Sackett Jr.. For the game, Sackett Jr. went 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Minneapolis a 5-2 lead.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Tatis told the Minneapolis Gazette.
