| Hernández Leads Blues to 7-5 Win Over Bats | Behind a fine performance from Raúl Hernández, the Memphis Blues knocked off the Austin Bats, 7-5. Hernández was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Blues. Kevin Leibowitz got the win, improving to 3-0. He held the Bats to 3 runs on 5 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 9 and walking 2. The save went to José Rivera, his 1st this season.
Hernández in the top of the fifth had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and the Blues leading 4-3, he hit a run-scoring single.
Hernández told the Memphis Citizen: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
