Vander Laan Homers Twice in 6-3 Seawolves Win | The California Dreamers and Erie Seawolves were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Pat Vander Laan was instrumental in his team's 6-3 triumph over the California Dreamers. The third baseman was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Erie Seawolves. Steve Griffin recorded the save for Erie, his 1st of the season.
Vander Laan had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 0-2 curveball from Tony DeMaio, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Seawolves a 6-3 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Vander Laan.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Vander Laan.
