| Surf Dawgs Top Minneapolis, 3-2 | Baseball fans saw a good contest between the San Diego Surf Dawgs and Minneapolis Millers.
San Diego Surf Dawgs starter Al Knight was on his game, helping his team beat the Minneapolis Millers, 3-2. San Diego reliever Joey Liva got the win, raising his record to 6-2. Milo Smart was tagged with the loss.
Had Charlie LaFosse not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, LaFosse hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Surf Dawgs.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said San Diego skipper Matt Pulley. "I can't complain."
San Diego leads the Frontier League by 4 games.
