Milkmen Lose By a Run at Nashville, 3-2 | The Nashville Outlaws picked up a win at Olympic Stadium, knocking off the Milwaukee Milkmen, 3-2. On the mound for Nashville was left-hander Walt Olenik, who played a pivotal role in the win. In 6 innings, Olenik surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run. Jeremy Waiden earned his 11th save in 15 chances.
The Outlaws got a big at-bat from third baseman Clint Hartis. For the game, Hartis went 1-3 with a double. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 3rd double of the season gave Nashville a 2-1 lead.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Milwaukee manager Nate Lee. "But we decided not to take it."
