Milkmen Bridle Seawolves, 4-3 | Claude Johnson pitched well, but the Erie Seawolves still lost the game, falling 4-3 to the Milwaukee Milkmen at Milkmen Ballpark. Milwaukee reliever J.R. Ouzts picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Claude Johnson took the loss. The win for the Milkmen raised their record to 39-31.
Had Lucifer Morningstar not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Morningstar hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Milkmen.
After the game, Milwaukee manager Nate Lee applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said. | | | | |
