Eugene Emeralds are off to a bad start in Spring Training with 2-14 record (worst in CBL). To add insult to injury, Emerald’s top player, Troy Tulowitzki suffered a rib injury when he collided with a player against Daytona Cubs. Sources says that Tulo will be out 3 weeks. He have a slight chance playing on Opening Day, but knowing the team status right now, you can almost guarantee that the Emeralds will take their time and rest up Tulo as much as possible.

“Obviously, I’m very disappointed. Injuries happen. It’s part of the game. Right now, I’m just gonna focus on getting healthy and hopefully get to 100% by Opening Day.” Tulowitzki said.

Tulowitzki has a triple slash line of .235/.364/.471 in limited appearances in Spring Training (17 at-bats).
