2022 stats – 1 W – 3 L | 4.60 ERA | 3 GS | 8.4 K/9

2023 stats – 17 W – 4 L | 2.49 ERA | 0.97 WHIP | .229 BABIP

 

St. Louis Sultans – P Henderson Alvarez

2022 stats – 35 IP | 3.09 ERA | 0.91  WHIP | .232 BABIP

2023 stats – 15 W – 6 L | 3.19 ERA | 2.7 WAR

 

Colorado Gold Sox – 1B Don Mack

Mack had a 4.8 swing in WAR from last season to this season. .254 average to over .300 and over .150 points difference in OPS.

 

Calgary Mavericks – P Kevin Hudson

Hudson has made 2 career starts coming into this year, and started out this year as a RP and put up good numbers.  Since moving to the rotation, he has made 9 starts going 5-2 with a 2.35 ERA and 1.1 WHIP.  For the year he is 11-4 with a 3.42 ERA and 2.5 WAR.

 

Nashville Outlaws – OF Seth Beer

Beer set the league record with doubles in a season (62), shattering the previous record by double digits. From .230 to .284 hitter in the process. Also crushing his numbers last season in SLG, OBP, and WAR.

 

Regina Reapers – P Steffen Smith

2022 stats – 75 IP | 3.84 ERA | 72 K | 8.6 K/9

2023 stats – 85 G | 168.2 IP | 13 W – 5 L | 2.83 ERA| 31 SV | 85 G | 188 K | 10.0 K/9

 

Minneapolis Millers – 1B Joey Gallo

Gallo Good. Mitch Hart Bad.

 

Altoona Curve – P Scott Blewett

In Scott Blewett’s first year with the Curve they tried his luck as a starting pitcher. Blewett seemed to get smacked around left and right in his first campaign with the team. This year the team put Blewett back into his natural role as a reliever. He posted a sub 2 era in over 60 innings.

 

Charlotte Knights – LF Lewin Diaz

Diaz destroyed AAA in 2022, his first as a professional, but struggled in his 109 AB. After starting the season in AAA, he was named the starting LF, and leads all eligible rookies in HRs with 24.

 

Connecticut Colonials – 2B Ken Farris

2022 stats – .284/.312/.414 , 32 2B, 14 HR, 66 RBI

2023 stats – .288/.325/.405, 24 2B, 11 HR, 67 RBI

 

Traverse City Bullet Club – 2B Cisco Martinez 

2022 stats – 368 AB | .196/.230/.310 | -1.3 WAR

2023 stats – 500 AB | .258/.310/.424 | 2.5 WAR

 

Dayton Sting – OF Andy Ramsey

One of the few bright spots of the season for Dayton, in his second full year he has improved all of his offensive stats. SLG% jumped from .395 a season ago to .502 due to him hitting for a .32 BA. knocking 7 more HRs than last year and finding the gap 11 more times. He also walked considerably more. His WAR improved by an impressive 2.9.

 

Erie Seawolves – P Grant Holmes

Simple put after horrible treatment in Austin and other place. He goes from 7/8 Era to what you see now.

 

Portland Panthers – DH Luke Maile

2022 stats – .243/.324/.425, 22 HR, 83 RBI, 67 R, 0.8 WAR

2023 stats – .273/.328/.473, 32 HR, 111 RBI, 2.7 WAR

 

Richardson City Blood Raven – P Patrick Mahomes

2022 stats – 35 GS | 4.34 ERA | 156 K | .306 BABIP | 2.2 WAR

2023 stats – 34 GS | 2.77 ERA | 176 K | .255 BABIP | 4.7 WAR

 

San Diego Surf Dawgs – C Chase Vallot

2022 stats – .260/.312/.412, 19 HR, 69 RBI, 3.6 WAR

2023 stats – .276/.334/.529, 33 HR, 92 RBI, 6.2 WAR
